LIMITED on-site camping will be available for 2026. As Fernie Alpine Resort does not operate a campground, this is basic parking in designated spaces within our parking lots. Campers must be self-contained as there are no services available other than basic washrooms/porta-potties (no shower facilities, water, or power will be available). For those seeking more services, please refer to the event page for more options HERE.

On-site camping reservations are available for July 8th through July 13th.

All campers must follow the onsite camping rules:

1. Campers need to be self-contained. There will be access to the washrooms/porta-potties, but please note there are no other camping services available (no shower facilities, water taps or power).

2. No campfires or open flames.

3. No parties.

4. Wildlife frequents this area, please respect their space and keep all attractants securely contained at all times. No littering or dumping allowed. Please put all garbage in the large bear-proof bins on site.

5. Generator use is permitted between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm for reasonable amounts of time – please be respectful of your neighbours.

6. Quiet hours are between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am.

7. Pets are allowed. All pets must be kept on a leash and under control at all times. Please clean up after your pets.

8. The mountain is closed to uphill traffic outside of operating hours. There are multi-use trails available at the base of the mountain, and base area trail maps are available in Guest Services or online.

9. All parking is allowed at the sole discretion of Fernie Alpine Resort or its designated representative. This is private property; please respect the employees’ requests.

10. Camping is at your own risk – furthermore, the property owner accepts no liability or responsibility for the safety of belongings.

11. All campers must abide by current Provincial Health Orders regarding personal gathering limits, should any restrictions be in place over your stay.

If you do not follow these rules, you may be asked to leave.

There are changes to on-site camping for 2026. Space is more limited this year, and we have updated our camping policy. To ensure a safe, fair and organized experience for all participants, please carefully review the following camping policies. These guidelines will be strictly enforced.

  • Limited Capacity: Camping space is more limited this year. Reservations will be required, and space is not guaranteed for all participants. We strongly recommend arranging a backup option in case on-site camping reaches capacity.
  • Pre-Booked Reservations: All camping must be reserved through online registration. Reservations will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. No on-site or day-of bookings will be accepted.
  • No Special Requests or Site Changes: Campsites will be assigned strictly on the order of purchase. Once assigned, sites cannot be swapped or changed. We cannot accommodate requests to camp beside friends, to change sites, or for specific placement.
  • Designated Camping Zones Only: This year, camping will only be available in two designated zones – Lot 2 and Lot 4. You must camp only in the designated, marked and assigned spaces. Camping outside of these assigned zones and spaces is not permitted.
  • No Overflow Camping: Once designated camping areas are full, no overflow or additional spaces will be made available. Do not arrive on-site without a confirmed reservation, as you will be turned away. Camping will be contained to the pre-reserved designed spots alone this year.
  • Waitlist Protocol: A limited waitlist will be maintained in the event of cancellations. If a space becomes available, you will be contacted directly via phone and email. If you do not receive confirmation, you do not have a campsite. Again, please ensure you have a backup plan in place.
  • Respect and Conduct: All staff members and their requests must be treated with respect at all times. Harrassment, aggressive behaviour, or verbal abuse toward staff will not be tolerated under any circumstances and will result in removal from your camping site.
  • Shared Use of Resort Grounds: Please remember that Fernie Alpine Resort is not a formal campground – it is a multi-use, active resort that continues to operate for the general public, non-camping racers, and non-race visitors throughout the weekend. Your cooperation is essential in helping us maintain a positive experience for all guests. Campers must remain respectful of resort operations, facilities, and shared spaces at all times.

Please note: Violation of these policies will negatively impact the viability of event on-site camping at Fernie Alpine Resort in future years. Let’s work together to maintain a safe, respectful, and positive camping experience for everyone.
