Wees Snowboard Club (Ages 4-6)

In our Wees Club, we build on the foundation that was built in the Little shedders  program, and introduce the kids to a social sport environment. Our energetic coaches use games and guided discovery to continue to develop the fundamentals of snowboarding necessary to progress their individual riding. They will start to explore more of what the mountain has to offer, in a safe, team approach.

Offered half day or full day, 6 or 12 weeks.

Days taught:  Saturdays

Ability Levels: 2 – 4

** There will be no lessons on February 15th & 16th weekend **

As parents and guardians you will play an important part in the success of the groups, so here is a program outline to help you to help us run things smoothly and ensure that all involved have the best time possible. We hope to encourage the talent and enthusiasm of all the kids, fostering their love of the greatest sport in the world as they learn to shred the pow!

Groups will be starting on Saturday January 5 or Sunday 6, 2019. (OR February 23 / 24, 2019: 6 week start) Here are the key things you will need to know for the first day if you are in the…

Wees Club (Ski & Snowboard):

a. Wees Club participants meet at ‘The Hut’ at the base of the Mini-Moose magic carpet which will be clearly signposted. This will be your permanent meeting place for the whole season.

b. For day one, please arrive at least half an hour early, so that we can get waivers signed by parents, group the classes, and get ready to go. This will ensure that kids are out skiing by the designated times.
c. For the AM and Full Day kids, that means you need to arrive at 9:45 am, with classes starting at 10:15 am.
d. For the PM kids, that means you have to arrive by 1:00 pm, with classes starting at 1:15pm.
e. Please check-in when you arrive, we will have a check-in table by The Hut. We will let you know who your coach is, and make sure all waivers are signed.
f. The groups may change from the start of day one. We want to make sure that we group kids by age and ability to best suit their needs, as a result your child may be dropped off by a different coach than when they departed.
g. For full-day students who are bringing their own lunches, lunch bags are to be dropped off at the meeting place (in the basket by the hut) and they will be transported to the kid’s lunch room. (there is no option to purchase lunch for Wees program)
h. Parents/guardians are welcome to visit their kids at lunch time. Please check with your coach to find out when they will all break for lunch. (this is in the basement of Slopeside Lodge)
i. At the end of the session (12.15 pm or 3:15 pm), you will pick up the kids at the same place as you dropped them off, The Hut.
j. And last but not least, your input is always welcome, please discuss how your children are doing with their coach at any time.
Please Note:
WAIVERS – All parents must sign three waivers that are specific to our snow school programs. (These are in addition to the season pass waiver you had to sign to pick up your pass). This can also be done online or at the Winter Sports School sale desk prior to day one. The three waivers are:
• Parental consent waiver
• Event waiver.
• Terrain Park Waiver (for event days and border-cross access)
