Product Description

Competitive Freeride Team (Age 10 -17) – Kicking Horse Mountain Resort

Ages 10-17yrs, top level big mountain and freestyle training for youth with advanced focus on competing in IFSA (International Freeskiers and Snowboarders Association) Junior freeride events. Must have full IFSA Membership and plan to attend minimum 2 but ideally 4 competitions (ie. 2 Junior Nationals and 2 Junior Regionals).

Ages: 10 – 17 

Days Taught: Friday or Sunday or Friday and Sunday

Start Time: 9:00 am

Weeks: 14 weeks 

Fridays Only Start Date: Friday, December 13th, 2024 

Sundays Only Start Date: Sunday, December 15th, 2024 

Friday and Saturday Start Date: Friday, December 13th, 2024 

Duration: 6 Hours

All program fees will cover coaching wages during competitions where we have been able to schedule a coach to attend. Coaching may be provided if there is a minimum of 3 athletes attending. Travel and accommodation costs for coaches will be split amongst the athletes attending the events, and this will be finalized once it is determined which athletes are attending and how many coaches will be at the event.

Athletes registering for Competitive Freeride must show proof they have paid for their Full 2024-25 IFSA membership, showing their commitment to compete in at least 2 freeride events this coming winter season.

If athletes are new to competition and just wanting to try it out they can register for Junior or Youth Freeride. A Single Competition Membership can be purchased through the IFSA and it is recommended you plan to attend a Junior Regional competition, which are held at Fernie, Kimberley, Panorama, Revelstoke, Whitewater and Castle Mountain.
